Kids Fun Festival:Canceled Due To Weather

The ultimate destination for family fun, the Kids Fun Festival will be a pop-up carnival at Rock Row to coincide with the opening of Quarryside at Rock Row featuring Lone Pine Brewing, Maine’s newest outdoor living room and beer garden. For a small entry fee, families can enjoy the carnival atmosphere with bounce houses, face painting, carnival games, kid’s live entertainment, and some fun activities for the adults too (cornhole, giant Jenga, beer garden). Looking for something to do for the weekend? Look no further, the Rock Row Kids Fun Festival is just the place for you on Sat, Sept 16 11:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sun, Sept 17, 2023, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Here’s a list of food trucks that will be on-site: Millside Creations, PB & ME, Fred’s Fried Dough, Smokin J’s Wicked BBQ, Great Scott’s Mac Wagon, Naturally Jammin, and Lisa’s Sweets.

The Kids Fun Festival will feature five inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses, two carnival game areas, live face painting, balloon twisting, a roaming magician, a misting tent for cooling off, and a 60 x 40 shade tent for grabbing a quick bite from local food trucks on-site. We’ll also have live entertainment throughout for the kids and plenty more activities!

No day-of ticket sales will be available at the event. Event tickets are first-come, first-serve and have limited availability. Tickets will be available until September 15, 2023, at 5:00 pm or when capacity is reached, whichever occurs first. Please bring a copy of your ticket confirmation and barcode for event entry. If you do not have that, event staff can search for your transaction via last name with valid ID.

The Dempsey Center was founded by actor Patrick Dempsey in 2008 after this mother’s experience with cancer and a way to give back to others to his home state of Maine. Since its founding, the Dempsey Center has provided a wide range of holistic support services to cancer patients, survivors, care partners, and their loved ones—all at no cost. Today, the Dempsey Center has grown, offering services at two locations in Lewiston and South Portland, Maine; a hospitality home in Portland, Maine; and has adapted to providing robust support virtually via Dempsey Connects to anywhere in the world. And soon, their South Portland location is relocating and expanding to Rock Row in the summer of 2024! This new location will house nutrition education + consultation, movement + fitness classes, counseling + support groups, bodywork services, youth + family support and so much more to people impacted by cancer in Cumberland County and beyond.

Parking on-site will be free of charge. There will be no storage for personal items on-site (lockers), so it’s suggested to leave personal items in your vehicle.
